What is Gritzy?
Gritzy is a non-GMO, more convenient Southern comfort food brand. Our launch product is our namesake, heat-and-eat grits, made with high-quality ingredients and flavors. Ready in just 90 seconds, it's designed as a convenient, delicious alternative to traditional or instant grits.
What ingredients do you use? Are they non-GMO?
We use simple ingredients. All our products are Non-GMO Project Verified and gluten-free certified.
Are your products gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegan?
Our Classic and Buttery flavor grits are naturally gluten-free. Some of our flavor variants contain milk, ghee, and/or cream, and those are labeled clearly. We are not currently vegan or dairy-free, but we are vegetarian.
Do your products contain allergens?
Yes, our Classic and Buttery flavors both contain milk allergens. We state allergen info clearly on each package.
How do you get your flavors? Are they non-GMO?
We partner with trusted suppliers and use non-GMO grits, dairy products, and other ingredients.
Do you add preservatives or artificial ingredients?
We use some natural preservatives to keep our grits as fresh as making them on the stove. Please see the ingredient labels for more specifics.
Storage, Shelf-Life & Use
What’s the shelf life of Gritzy?
Our “best by” date (printed on the package) is the most accurate reference and is currently 18 months. Ideal storage is in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
Does Gritzy need to be refrigerated?
No, our grits are shelf stable if unopened. We recommend eating them immediately after opening and heating the product.
How should I reheat or prepare Gritzy?
Microwave Instructions:
- Tear pouch open to vent
- Place in microwave and cook 90 seconds on high
- Carefully remove, serve, and stir
Stovetop Instructions:
- Pour pouch into skillet
- Add 2 tbsp. Water
- Heat on medium
- Stir occasionally until heated through, about 5-7 minutes
What happens if I keep it past the “best by” date?
We do not recommend keeping the product after the “best by” date; please discard once you’ve reached it.

Where can I buy Gritzy?

How long does shipping take?
We aim to process orders within 1–2 business days. Shipping transit times depend on location and the selected shipping option.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, you can contact us at support@gritzyfoods.com to modify or cancel. Once shipped, we can’t cancel.
My order says “Delivered” but I didn’t get it; what do I do?
Sometimes carriers mark as delivered early or misplace them. First, check around your mailbox or with neighbors and/or building staff. If the product is still missing, please contact us at support@gritzyfoods.com, and we’ll be happy to help.
What is your return policy?
Because Gritzy is a perishable food product, we typically do not accept returns, but we will offer a replacement or refund if a product arrives damaged, spoiled, or incorrect. Please contact customer service at support@gritzyfoods.com for help.
